This old Forest Service sign is made of metal/steel and measures 4" x 5". I believe it is a survey sign. Reads "Forest Service Subdivision Location Poster . This Point, Indicated By Tack, Located By Compass Transit and Pacing ,Chaining, Stadia". It is not dated. Made by Cont. Can Co. Inc. This is old stock that was left in a FS building that was purchased decades ago by an elderly couple. It shows minor wear , smudging and paint loss. Otherwise, very good condition.
