Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Fabricates, tests, and modifies mechanical instruments or mechanical emblies of electrical or electronic instruments, machinery, or equipment. POSITION IGNMENTS: :Measures, marks, and scribes stock following blueprints and Engineering sketches to lay out workplace. :Sets up and operates machine tools (e.g., lathes, drill presses, punch presses, milling machines, grinders, etc.) to machine parts to specifications. :Fabricates and embles new or modified mechanical components or emblies. :Verifies dimensions of parts and installation of components using measuring instruments. :Sets up and conducts standardized tests of complete units. :Records test procedures and results; performs routine analyses and calculations; recommends changes to equipment, product or test methods. :Works under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity. :Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish igned goals.
