1 Ring-Necked Pheasant Pelt from Pheasants Hunted in USA Beautiful Feathers! In my work of making feather jewelry and hat bands, I use many ring-necked pheasant pelts. So many, in fact, that I always end up with pelts that have from 1/3 to 1/2 of the feathers still on them. I use some of these pelts to make simple hat bands but I still end up with too many! In the past they ended up in the dumpster but I always hated to do it. There are many good feathers on all my "used" pelts and they will be great for kid's crafts, floral arrangements, fly tying, etc. The scan shows a typical pelt. Some will have more feathers, others will have fewer. Each pelt will be chosen to have a balance of feathers. Most pelts will have the some of white ring feathers.
