Antique Lacquered Wood Box for Hand Fan Antique Lacquered Brush/Pen Box with Beautiful, Subtle Design Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE LACQUERED BRUSH/PEN BOX with BEAUTIFUL, SUBTLE DESIGN This fan box has a subtle beauty. The black lacquer is decorated with a vine that climbs back and forth along the length of the box. Where the vine is planted at the bottom of the box is a flowering plant, which adds weight to the bottom of the design. Near the top of the vine is a tiny bird. The lid can be removed. There are a number of small nips to the enamel, including along the edges, and loss of lacquer on the bottom. Overall, however, the box is in good display condition. The length is 12 inches.
