Deep purple-fleshed variety of Molokai sweet potato that is a Hawaiian locally-developed, signature type on the islands, but seldom offered elsewhere. Much higher in antioxidants than orange-fleshed types. Very sweet-fleshed and creamy, with overtones of chestnut. Perfect as-is when baked or roasted, needing no further adornment. Adds a colorful twist to mashed potatoes, home fries, and soups! Deep purple flesh and skins. Slips will be 4"-10" in height. They are planted in peat moss pots so they can go right into the ground without re-potting. Plant them at least 30" apart as they grow lots of leafy vines. (The leaves are edible!)
