Wayne Model 704 Sweeper - $5,400 - (Swift Current, SK)
This is a circa 1964 ride on sweeper . The unit was built in Pomona , Calfornia by the Wayne Manufacturing Company . It is a propane powered 8hp Wisconsin engine with 3 forward speed and one reverse manual shift transmission , generator electric start, 12 volt , positive ground . Wrap around front and rear bumpers . Side broom attachment for sweeping against walls and curbs . Body pivots in middle to accept cups and other smaller debris while sweeping . Vacuum sucks up the sweepings and deposits them into a compartment in rear which is manually dumped when needed . Broom height is adjustable to suit floor conditions . Paint and body are in decent used condition as the pictures show and what a person should expect from such machine ( scrapes , chips , rub marks , paint transfer ) . Horn works . Turns on a dime . Seat has been reupholstered . One rubber missing from a foot pedal . Rubber skirting on broom sides are torn . May be other small flaws . Comes with operator/parts manual . Truck freight can be arranged at buyers expense . Unit is approximately 650 lbs , 48 " high 75 " long and 39 " wide . Thanks for looking .
