Vintage GE 15” Commercial Telechron School Wall Clock Rare Model 2915A - $260 - (Mcgregor, MN)

This large clock is in very good condition for its advanced age. I was told that it was produced in the early 60’s. The clock frame is solid metal and the glass front is glass not plastic. A very well constructed collector clock. I have seen hundreds of the 2020 model and I have only seen a handful of the 2915 model. I have never come across the 2915A model. The clock movement was produced by Telechron. The rotor is an S-4. The S series replaced the H motors during the 60’s and into the 70’s. This was the last rotor produced by Telechron for General Electric clocks. It keeps near perfect time. I have run the clock on 3 different occasions; 3 hrs., 8 hrs. and a little over a day. It may have off a few seconds but I couldn’t tell one way or the other. There are 3 condition issues. The owner prior to myself cleaned the face and as you can see from the photos the number 12 is a little faded. That is the only thing cosmetically that stands out other than the obvious, normal nicks and scratches. The glass is in excellent condition. Hardly any scratches. The mechanical issue is the time adjustment control slips when you turn it to but can easily be adjusted by hand underneath the plastic cover and the turning wheel that is attached to the end of the time change rod looks like it was glued on; most likely due to thread wear. The teeth on the wheel attached to it doesn’t show much wear. Perhaps it needs oiling or tightening? I didn’t want to force it and break it because this model is very rare. I am not accepting returns, this is packaged extremely well and I don't want back and forth travel so if you have any questions, please ask before purchase and examine photos carefully.
