C1880 30" Leaping Stag Deer Weathervane att. EG Washburne NYC KILLER SURFACE! - $19,500 - (Camden, DE)

Excellent condition. One antler is a tiny bit wonky. Honest surface. The gilt and sizing wore away, a verdigris surface developed, the owner decided he wanted it to look bright and shiny again and painted it yellow. Resulting is a beautifully weathered surface of yellow paint with that verdigris surface peeking out in spots. 30" overall length; 27 1/2" overall height. Attributed to E.G. Washburne & Company, New York, circa 1880. I am happy to work with the buyer to arrange delivery via a mutually approved art/antiques specialist.
