This is a rare souvenir program from the Broadway revival of the EUGENE O'NEILL trilogy "MOURNING BECOMES ELECTRA" at the Alvin Theatre in New York City. (The Original Broadway production opened October 26th, 1931 at New York's Guild Theatre, transferred on February 29th, 1932 to the Alvin Theatre and ran for a combined 150 performances. This revival opened May 9th, 1932 and ran for only sixteen performances.) ..... The production was composed of three plays, presented on a single day, "HOMECOMING", "THE HUNTED" and "THE HAUNTED", with the first and second plays separated by a Dinner Intermission. The play starred JUDITH ANDERSON and FLORENCE REED and the cast included SETH ARNOLD, HARRY HERMSEN, BEATRICE MORELAND, BEATRICE MAUDE, ERIC KALKHURST, BERNICE ELLIOTT, CRANE WILBUR, THURSTON HALL, GEORGE W. CONDITION: With the exception of minor edge wear, this rare program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
