French Gilt Bronze Clock. Very Rare. - $207,000 - (Irvine, CA)

Extremely rare French gilt bronze orbit clock. A very similar rare clock had an auction estimate of $60,000-$90,000 Christie's Auction House in New York and final realized price was $60,000 (the clock description for this sold clock says it was specially commissioned by King Louis XV of Versailles in 1756). I'm unable to click a "clickable" link below but you can manually search at Christie's Auction House website (New York Rockefeller) for Sale# 2774, Lot 13 at the June 13, 2013 Private Collection auction. The clock is 24" tall and very solid and quite heavy at 47 pounds. It is in excellent shape and the clock keeps accurate time.There are cherubs and wreathes (same look as seen in Versailles Palace, France), stars, 12 zodiac signs, doves/birds, clouds, etc.,
