This coin has an exceptional strike on both sides with all the detail one could hope for with an AU grade designation. With a low mintage of only 6,146 this one year US type coin is seldom seen available in any grade, especially this grade range. We believe that if NGC would have deemed this coin to have uncirculated details people would not have complained. The designation is a detail grade because of 'obverse repaired' as noted by NGC. We believe that at some time in front of her face on the obverse there was something on the coin that was removed in the right obverse field.
