It operates with a permanent side wind-up key and an on/off switch on the console. The siren function makes this toy particularly cool. Wind the key counter-clockwise, move the switch to "on" and watch it go!! Strong motor!! Great siren sound!!! Marx lithography is so wonderfully detailed and colorful. It measures 8.5 inches long.
