Environmental Engineer I - (Colstrip, MT)

Summary Description: Work with all departments to insure environmental compliance so that the mine can operate. This position covers a broad scope of work. The value of being in compliance with all environmental standards and schedules is very important to the operation. It generally is noticed when that is not the case. The position requires a knowledge of natural resources as well as engineering practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Monitoring - Water wells, Ponds, Method 9, WYPDES, Impoundments, Air quality (TEOM's & MET stations), Storm Water. * Permitting and reporting . * Reclamation activities - Overburden sampling, topsoil compliance and disking, reclamation tracking and reporting, bond release and tracking. * Waste Management - Reporting and tracking recycled waste, SPCC plan maintenance. * Project Engineering - Design and construction management of drainage and road projects. * Provide monthly progress report to Corporate.
